Dalby Street debate fires up again
THE debate over a proposed seven-storey block in Dalby Street, Kentish Town, reopened on Monday when the council began consultation over changes to the road layout.
The controversial 54-flat and clinic complex demands the ‘stopping up’ of existing Dalby Street and the creation of a new road next to the railway line beside Kentish Town West station.
A council press official said last night (Wed): “Camden Council highways engineers have been negotiating with the developer over the details of the layout for the proposed Prince of Wales Road junction. Several changes are being proposed and a public consultation is due to begin at the end of next week. The consultation will last for one month.”
Results will be seen by the council’s executive before the case goes to the Greater London Authority, which has the power to order a public inquiry.
