Kelly shines in China tourney
China Four Nations Tournament
ARSENAL’S England stars held their own against the best in the world this week when they returned from China with a creditable two draws and one defeat.
Gunner Kelly Smith was voted player of the tournament as England drew 0-0 against world champions Germany on Tuesday and 1-1 with the US on Sunday.
Arsenal’s Alex Scott scored after great work by club colleague Rachel Yankey to earn England a 1-1 draw against the US, who are ranked second in the world.
That result came on the back of a sluggish start to the tournament, which saw England lose 2-0 to the home nation on Friday.

Spurs 1, Long Lane 0
INSPIRATIONAL captain Gill Blackmore led Spurs to the league championship on Sunday.
Blackmore has overcome breast cancer to captain the side of mostly under-17s to glory this season with victory over Long Lane on Sunday putting manager June Clarke’s Spurs out of reach of nearest rivals Dagenham and Redbridge.
Division One
Dynamo 4, Thurrock & Tilbury 3
Luton 3, Camden Town 0
DYNAMO won a seven-goal thriller at Campdale Road in Tufnell Park on Sunday.
Vanessa Campbell hit a hat-trick and substitute Deana Blumenkrantz came on with two minutes to go to hit the winner.
Meanwhile Town continued their disappointing start to the year with a 3-0 defeat away to Luton which keeps them struggling at the bottom.
Division Two South
Katabella 1, Corinthian Casuals 3
KATS slipped to third in the table after their second defeat on the trot. Title rivals Corinthean Casuals took the lead, only for Helen Frazer to level matters in the second half. But an injury hit Kats side couldn’t stop two late goals as the Casuals took the points at Parliament Hill.
