Phones out of control
• COMMUNICATIONS have become very sophisticated and we, the consumers, find it difficult to get accustomed to the ever-growing new system.
Today telephone calls can be diverted, transferred, re-routed, stored or deleted. Our medical files and bank details are in India. So-called help and hot lines operate from Pakistan or Bangladesh. Even council services – such as the Careline Emergency Alarm – are no longer based in Camden.
We are told that relocation saves money, but when people lose their jobs, they end up drawing unemployment benefits. Is that a solution?
I am sending this letter to the CNJ Camden Road office but I won’t be surprised if the one who opens it is somewhere overseas.
