‘Nothing to fear from the Blues’ claims Young Gun

Walcott says Arsenal can beat Chelsea in Carling Cup final

TEENAGE sensation Theo Walcott has revealed that the young Guns of Arsenal have nothing to fear when they take on Chelsea in the Carling Cup final.
Manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will keep the faith in his youngsters when Arsenal take on their London rivals at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on Sunday, February 25.
That means Walcott is almost guaranteed a place in the starting line-up, the perfect anniversary present for the talented 17-year-old who has just completed his first year with the club.
When asked if the youthful Arsenal side could beat a full strength Chelsea Walcott said: “Definitely. We’ve played really well, especially at Anfield. We’ve gone to Tottenham, which isn’t an easy place to go to, and got a good result. We have no fears at all.”
Talking to the club’s website, Walcott also revealed that he’s not in any rush to score his first goal for the club, providing he keeps playing well and getting the chance to improve on his performances in the first team.
He said: “I don’t think about my first goal because if I think about it, it’s just going to put too much pressure on myself. Hopefully it will come soon, but I can wait.”
Meanwhile fans’ favourite Freddie Ljungberg has dismissed rumours that he is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.
The Swede’s future at the club was the subject of speculation during the January transfer window with reports suggesting Arsene Wenger was willing to let him leave.
Wenger rejected the talk and Ljungberg insists he has no plans to leave Arsenal as he has a special bond with the club and his French coach.
Ljungberg said: “I live to win things and we are doing that at Arsenal so I see no point in me leaving.”
