Clamping rules made clear
• THE CNJ seems to have suffered a touch of amnesia about Camden’s parking policy (Carry on clamping, Feb 8).
Camden Council has always made it clear that we would end clamping except for the worst offenders, and that this would include people who park on housing estates without a valid permit.
The CNJ ran a news story and letter in July 2006 about this. We stated at the time that this was to target people who live elsewhere but take the spaces that estate residents have paid for.
