Six jailed over film firm raids
SIX Camden men were part of a 12-strong crime ring sentenced on Friday for stealing £2 million worth of cameras and equipment from film companies.
The six pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary after a Met investigation which saw police raid 20 addresses across London last July. High-value cameras and film equipment belonging to broadcast and production companies were stolen by the gang.
Omar Mentesh, 24, of O’Donnell Court, Brunswick Centre, Bloomsbury; Lee Crook, 23, of Grafton Road, Camden Town; Jemaine Paterson, 20, of Clevedon Mansions, Highgate Road, Kentish Town; Sadiq Ghelle, 18, of Edgeworth House, Boundary Road, Swiss Cottage; Khary Waldron, 21, of Beasant House, Boundary Road, Swiss Cottage; and Mathew Buransky, 25, of Albert Street, Camden Town, were jailed for more than 19 years between them. |
