Swiss medal scoop
MEMBERS from Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club scooped nine medals at the Rotherham Metro Open Masters Meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield on Sunday.
In their first competition of the new season, the six-strong team were in sensational form as they took three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
Competing in the 40-44 years age category, Calum McKinlay won both the 100m and 400m freestyle.
Club mate Nuala Muir Cochrane continued the medal haul in the age division as she touched home first in the 400m freestyle.
In the 30-34 age group, Susan Maclean won silver in the 400m freestyle, while Adam Freer took bronze in the 100m backstroke. Adam also went on to take silver in the 50m and 100m breaststroke.
Peter Kavanagh and Chris Bumby won bronze medals in their 400m freestyle events. |
