Poetic memories
• THANK you for your piece in the Review about my father Denzil Dunnett’s newly-published poems Wounds (Denzil’s ‘Wounds’ are the poetry of a lifetime, Feb 8).
As a former journalist, my father was put in the press department of the Foreign Office when he joined in 1947-8. A colleague there was Guy Burgess, who not long after defected to the Soviet Union. Burgess he remembers as a flamboyant but rather seedy character, who mostly disdained his colleagues.
