How about a garden?
• I HAVE read the letters in the New Journal about the proposed redevelopment of the railway land site at the rear of College Lane, NW5 and the subsequent fiasco of access via Little Green Street (Green Street farce, February 15).
Rather than putting in housing with very difficult access, would it not be more sensible to use the site as a community garden for the residents of the Ingestre estate, Little Green Street and College Lane?
The Culpepper community garden in Islington has been a haven for residents with no garden for 25 years, fulfilling both a social and theraputic need.
I understand the need for more housing, but this could improve the quality of life of many local residents, including children and pensioners, green the area and most probably reduce crime.
