Town back on track
Spartan South Midlands League
Division One
Kentish Town 2
Sun Postal Sports 0
TOWN finally returned to winning ways on Friday following their topsy-turvy start to the year with an impressive win over mid-table Sun Postal Sports.
The Camden and Islington-based side almost got off to a bad start when a defensive lapse gave the visitors an early chance, only for defender Aaron Hutchins to spare Town’s blushes with a superb tackle.
Kentish finally scored just before the hour mark when Shaka Cole made the most of a loose ball to bag his first goal of the season.
They doubled the lead minutes later when Daniel Young was left unmarked inside the penalty area to calmly steer the ball in.
Shortly after Town debutante Gary Rowlands conceded a penalty, but James Noonan protected his clean sheet with a stunning save. |
