Well done for tackling slum landlords
• WELL done Camden Council for bringing a successful prosecution against the slum landlords of 64 Fellows Road (Slum landlord is fined £80,000, Feb 22).
This sends out a clear message to those who think they can exploit tenants in this way and Camden Federation of Private Tenants urges others living in such dangerous and vile conditions to contact the council without delay.
Unfortunately, the inability to trace owners of properties like this that are registered often in dodgy overseas or off-shore companies is not uncommon, and shows how exactly how hard must it be for tenants to track them down themselves?
