We were right to close
• IT would have been foolish to have ignored the weather warning for Thursday February 8, which told us of a 90 per cent chance of travel disruption to the north and west of central London.
It was on this information that I advised parents to use their judgement and to keep children at home if possible, leaving the actual decision to close until 8am on the morning.
We were open as usual on Friday 9 and, had the situation on the 8th been less dramatic, we would have been open then too.
It was therefore with some sadness that I read William Nawrocki’s letter (Farce of school snow decision, Feb 15).
His remarks about me and the staff are just undignified, and I will not give them the credibility of comment.
