Head to head - Camden and Islington girls get together at Market Road |
First-ever camden vs Islington derby a hit
THE first-ever girls’ District Under-11 football teams to be launched in Camden and Islington went head-to-head on Saturday in a friendly fixture at Market Road.
Islington were due to face Lewisham, but when the fixture cancelled late on the newly formed Camden side stepped in to give Islington a game, just a week after the squad of 20 held their first-ever training session.
But there was no separating the sides, as they drew 1-1 in their first game. |
