Fantastic medal haul for Swiss
MEMBERS from Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club were in outstanding form on Saturday when they scooped an incredible 29 medals at the Middlesex Age Groups.
Among the Swiss stars were Edward Walsh and Harry Needs, who swam five National Qualifying times between them as the Camden and Islington club won eight gold’s, 12 silver and nine bronze medals.
Harry set five new club records as he won gold in the 100m and 200m backstroke, the 200m individual medley and the 100m and 200m breaststroke, hitting three national times along the way. The talented 14-year-old also won silver in the 400m-freestyle.
Club mate Walsh sealed two more National qualifying times as he won double silver in the 100m breaststroke and the 200m-freestyle.
Elsewhere Alex Mackay, 15, took double gold in the 200m-freestyle and 400m individual medley, while Felix Samuels, 13, won gold in the 200m individual medley and silver in the 100m and 200m-backstroke. |
