We need more cops to solve drug problem
The chaos surrounding the imminent ban on the legitimate
sale of legal goods termed drugs paraphernalia
is typical of the councils incoherent and knee-jerk
approach to tackling drugs.
It is understandable that council officers have no definitive
list stating what can and cant be sold as the
council has no definitive idea as to what this latest publicity
stunt will do to tackle the drugs market in Camden.
The reason we cant have plain-clothed police on Camden
High Street arresting those that offer them drugs surely
the clearest signal we could send that drug dealing is not
acceptable here is that we dont have enough police.
Why wont the Labour leaders of the council confront
this, the real problem and the only solution and end
their obsession with media-friendly politics?
