Gunners will be stronger
Reserve League South
Charlton 3, Arsenal 0
RESERVE manager Neil Banfield has vowed the young guns of Arsenal “will be even stronger next season” after watching an inexperienced side slip to a 3-0 defeat against Charlton on Tuesday at the Valley.
Two goals from Kevin Lisbie and a strike from Donovan Simmonds saw Arsenal slip to their second successive 3-0 defeat on the road after losing to Aston Villa last time out.
But despite the lack of form, Banfield was optimistic about his team’s future. “We’ve got players who have played three games in a week. They’ve come in and given it their all. Having said that I don’t think they’re showing signs of tiredness. Not at all. They’re showing signs of how well they can play. “You’ve got to realise the strength factor and the development of young players is really, really vast. You’ll see some of these lads next year when they’re through their core strength programme and there will be some fantastic players here.”
