Lib Dems will do anything
I WAS most amused to read Theo Blackwells letter
regarding Lib Dem letter writer Paul Braithwaite (Future generations
need to enjoy Kings Cross too, March 23).
A couple of weeks ago the Lib Dems wrote in weeping crocodile
tears about the Kings Cross development saying it was
like Canary Wharf and a week later we find that Mr Braithwaite
was a former Conservative Party adviser.
He now claims to support the Lib Dems, but this really would
prove my age-old belief that they are in fact a bunch of Tories
with bad dress sense.
Truth be told the Lib Dems would say and anything and do anything
to get a sniff of power. Later in the paper they even had the
temerity to invite their former leader Charles Kennedy to the
heart of Camden Lock for a swift half despite the fact
that they oppose anything that is proposed to tackle anti-social
behaviour that has blights the area.
And similarly it is rather amusing to note that one of their
candidates for Hampstead ward in the local elections in fact
lives in Bow, yet wrote to the Camden New Journal with a mickey
mouse home address in Russell Square. Perhaps Jonathan Fryer
would like to use his home address rather than his place of
work.
A joke party with joke policies. I hope people think about this
seriously before considering voting for the yellow peril on
May 4.
