Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 19 April 2007
Free is great
• I WRITE with regard to your anonymous readers’ letter in the Camden New Journal criticising his/her recent hospital treatment, I assume they must be referring to the Royal Free.
Having just returned from day surgery at that hospital, I cannot agree.
The doctors, anaesthetists and nurses were one and all courteous, thorough, kind and attentive, just as they always are when I have to visit the Royal Free. Also I found all the loos spotlessly clean.
I have nothing but admiration for dedicated professionals who work long and unsocial hours and still manage to keep a smile on their faces. If the smile occasionally slips when confronted with more demanding patients, I have nothing but sympathy for the staff. MARYLIN CREEGOR

• THE public consultation on the Royal Free becoming a foundation trust ended on April 13.
Can someone explain why the trust is holding a public meeting on April 18 at the Temple Fortune Health Centre? R ESCHWEGE
