Parking fine tears
• I URGE people not to fall for the crocodile tears that we’re seeing from Camden Council over the Tesco delivery lorries and parking fines issue (Tesco’s parking contempt, April 12).
Camden are the ones who gave planning permission to these stores. Did they not have the foresight to consider how deliveries were going to made?
How did they expect them to get their goods in – by bus? If they couldn’t deliver legally then they should have refused planning permission.
A cynic might think Camden was actually looking forward to the boost in revenue from parking tickets. ROGER BATE
