Eucalypta does it in triple style

Junior Athletics

HIGHGATE Harriers’ junior contingent were back out in action at the weekend when they battled it out in the Middlesex County Track and Field Athletic Championships at Copthall Stadium.
Competing against the elements, Eucalypta Bradley (pictured) was in exceptional form as she won the girls’ under-15s shot putt with a distance of 8.99m. The Parliament Hill School pupil also scooped double silver as she finished second in the 75m hurdles and the long jump.
In the same age category, Samara Williams sealed a stunning silver medal as she finished second in her first ever 800m race, while teammate Andrea Kennedy won bronze in her Javelin debut.
In the boys’ under-13s division, Michael Gallagher picked up a medal of each making, as he took gold in the 75m hurdles, silver in the 200m and bronze in the 100m sprints.
Joe Bloom continued the medal haul as he took silver in the 75m hurdles and bronze in the long jump. Stanley Harrison also won bronze in the 1500m.
The high-flying Harriers continued on the success trail in the under-17s women’s category, where Hannah Ashman took Silver in 300m hurdles, and Alice Keane won bronze in the 1500m.
In the under-20s women’s category, Rosie Alda sealed a hat-trick of medals as she clinched silver in the discus and bronze in the long jump and the javelin.
There was silver success for Nina Sorensen in the javelin and the long jump, while in the under-20s men’s division, Kristian Clarke sealed bronze in the 200m.
