Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 24 May 2007
Urban lives in frame
• I WOULD like to say thankyou. I read your article on the exhibition Underexposed last week and was blown away at how real and relevant it sounded.
I went down there, and I was not disappointed. The show was exactly what people need to recognise is happening in urban communities.
A lot of black people seem to think that art is not for them and just for middle class, white people, but these sections of our community just have not been to the right places.
When I was in the gallery I met the artist Matthew Small and he is very deep, some of the stuff he was saying was so true! KOJO
