WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN’ GOING ON AS FESTIVAL IN THE RAIN ROCKS TO ‘ELVIS’
ELVIS put the swing back into a wet bank holiday weekend when he performed at Belsize Village festival on Monday. Crowds turned out for the second annual festival, where Elvis impersonator Lou Jordan reprised his role from last year to hearty cheers.
Singer-songwriter Dean Dyson also proved a big hit.
This year’s big-name attraction was 70s rock star Randy Bachman, of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, who wowed the audience with a selection of hits from his 40 million-selling repertoire.
Organiser Rocco Buonvino staged the first festival to great success last year when the Cheeky Girls headlined.
This year’s fun-lovers were welcomed by Belsize councillor Arthur Graves.
