HAMPSTEAD slumped to their second defeat in three games on Saturday when they were undone in their testing away encounter against Brondesbury.
Having been put into bat first, the visitors could only manage a lead of 98 off 34.2 overs as Brondesbury bowler Ben Claypole claimed five wickets for just eight runs.
It was an advantage Hampstead were never going to protect as Tom Simpson hit an unbeaten score of 41 to seal a commanding 10 points for Brondesbury.

South Hampstead 253-6 dec
Brentham 0-0

SOUTH HAMPSTEAD were denied a great chance of victory on Saturday when their home match against Brentham fell victim to the atrocious late May weather.
Jason Williams and Varun Agnish knocked up scores of 74 and 69 respectively as the hosts built up a lead of 253-6 off 49 overs before declaring.
But South Hampstead were denied the chance to push forward for their second win of the season as rain and bad light brought an early end to play.
With blustery winds and incessant rain the elements ended the day winners, leaving both sides with a point.

Ickenham 58 all out
Highgate 59-0

HIGHGATE bounced back from last week’s disappointing defeat to secure a resounding ten-wicket victory against Ickenham.
Ickenham were left regretting their decision to bat first as Highgate’s opening attack of Syed Karrar and Tony Duckett made a flying start.
The spin and seam combination paid dividends with Duckett winning an lbw decision with the score on 9.
Highgate skipper Dave Benton then snaffled one at gully off Karrar to leave Ickenham two down early on.
Karrar picked up two more wickets with straight deliveries, before good catches from Freddie Barrass and Joe Phelan, accompanied by another lbw, saw Ickenham struggle past the 50 mark.
Karrar then picked up a useful slip catch to give Duckett his second victim of the afternoon, before two more lbws finished things off.
Ickenham reached just 58 off 32 overs before the loss of the final wicket.
In a devastating bowling display, Karrar finished with an outstanding seven wickets at the expense of just 28 runs, while Duckett claimed three wickets for 18.
Openers Jake Sharland and Will Clarke drove Highgate to victory, hitting 43 and 19 respectively to seal all 10 points within nine overs.
