Regional gold for swim starlet Kelly
GOLDEN girl Kelly Hookway was among the medal winners at the weekend when members from Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club turned out for the London Region Age Groups in Crystal Palace.
The talented 10-year-old scooped gold when she touched home first in the 200m backstroke with a winning time of 2.55.86. Kelly also won double silver in the 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley, and bronze in the 100m fly.
Teammate Felix Samuels was also in dazzling form as he won double gold in the finals of the boys’ 13 years 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly. He also captured silver in the 200m backstroke and bronze in 200m individual medley.
Reut Benaim was Camden’s third London Region Champion of the weekend, taking gold in the girls’ 12 years 100m fly. Devon Robins and Bogac Ayhan were also among the medals when they won bronze in their respective 100m fly finals.
