Claim carers’ cash!
• MANY carers across Camden may be missing out on extra cash, with an estimated £740 million of carers’ benefits left unclaimed nationwide each year. The cost of caring can quickly escalate and we know that claiming carers’ benefits can make a big difference. Yet many carers are missing out because they don’t know they’re entitled.
Many people providing substantial care for their partner or spouse, in particular, aren’t aware that they could claim benefits as they are less likely to consider themselves as ‘carers’.
We want any older carers or carers of an older person to contact us for free, clear and confidential benefits information and advice on 020 7837 3777. Many older carers may be entitled to other benefits even if they are not entitled to Carer’s Allowance. GARY JONES
Chief Officer,
Age Concern Camden
