Hampstead 275-5 Dec
Wembley 136 All Out
A STUNNING partnership between Brandon Buckley and Imraan Mohammed led Hampstead to a 139-run victory away to Wembley on Saturday.
Having been asked to bat first, openers Buckley and Mohammed hit 24 fours and five sixes as they scored 81 and 86 runs, respectively, to put on an incredible first wicket total of 172. With the damage done, Hampstead went on to declare on 275-5 off 55.1 overs.
The visitors’ attack from the field was just as devastating, with Dexter Thomas taking four wickets at the expense of 45 runs from 14 overs. In the end, Wembley struggled to 136 all out as Hampstead collected their second win of the season.
Division Two
South Hampstead 223 All Out
Harrow 276-7
SOUTH HAMPSTEAD suffered their second defeat of the season on Saturday when they were narrowly beaten in a testing home encounter against Acton.
Having won the toss, South Hampstead were left regretting their decision to put Acton into bat first as they surged to 256-7, off 52 overs, before declaring.
The home side made a valiant attempt at hitting the target, but finished the afternoon 34 runs off the mark. They were bowled out for 223 after 48 overs.
Division Three
Wycombe House 157 All out
Highgate 153 All Out
HIGHGATE suffered a heartbreaking four-wicket defeat on Saturday away to Wycombe.
Choosing to field first, Highgate got off to a bright start when debutants Phil Brown and Jim Denning combined to make an early breakthrough.
Spinner Syed Karrar continued his impressive form as he took four wickets for 26 runs in a controlled 15-over spell, while captain Dave Benton pitched in with 4-56.
Highgate were left chasing a winning target of 158 for the second week running after Wycombe ended their innings on 157 from 47 overs.
Jake Sharland and Will Clarke got the visitors off to a comfortable start as they combined to hit 67. But when Sharland went for lbw after a fluent innings of 47, he triggered a mini-collapse in the Highgate batting order.
Under intense pressure, the managed only 86 more runs from their remaining eight wickets as they slumped to their second defeat of the season to hand Wycombe an unlikely win.

WASHINGTON continued their hot streak on Sunday when they sealed their fourth consecutive win with a five-wicket victory over Hollybush.
Openers Dave Barker (59) and George Hope (83) got Hollybush off to a flying start as they hit 108 for the first wicket.
But the match swung back in Washington’s favour when Hope was caught by Steve Brown.
