Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published:21 June 2007
Why wait for death to celebrate a life?
• I READ Dame Mary Douglass’ obituary by Dan Carrier (Pioneer who opened anthropology to all, May 24) and wished for the hundredth time that the lives of people over 60 or 70 should have a column. This would enable their admirers to contact their heroes and sheroes.
What is the point of reading all these wonderful deeds after the life and spirit have passed out? LINDIWE MITSELE
