The return of the pink painter?
RUMOURS abound that a rogue vigilante who gives graffitied traffic furniture a pink makeover has struck again.
The Pink Painter – unearthed by the New Journal last week – is waging a one-man war on the ‘tags’, ‘dubs’ and ‘grafs’ that cover the streets around Gospel Oak, armed with only a paintbrush and a pot of lurid pink paint.
Following last week’s spate of rose-coloured reform that left parts of the borough looking like Liberace’s living room, this time a post box in Savernake Road was the target.
Jani Puradiredja, who lives nearby, said: “I don’t understand why he’s doing this. Is it really the answer to the problem? “I don’t know but it is funny.”
