Simeon’s best at Bislet meet

HIGHGATE Harrier Simeon Williamson continued an impressive run of form on Friday by recording a season’s best time at the Bislet Games in Norway.
The powerful runner secured a record time of 10.49 in the finals of the 100m ‘B’ race, finishing behind winner Marlon Devonish who came in on 10.20.
Highgate also enjoyed a series of impressive results a little closer to home as a top team of athletes turned out for the South of England Championships in Crystal Palace.
Sinead Gutzmore scooped the only medal of the afternoon when she triple jumped her way to a deserved bronze.
Elsewhere top women’s mid- distance runner Svenja Abel came seventh in the 1500m final, while in the men’s 400m hurdles Simon Child finished sixth with a personal best time of 55.00.
