Another blow for poor
• CAMDEN’S ruling Lib Dems earlier this year deleted two posts at its welfare rights unit which, under Labour control, brought in hundreds of thousands of pounds for some of Camden’s poorest people. They now plan to cut the tribunal unit, which has an outstanding record of representing people at maternity and employment appeals tribunals. Lib Dems either do not understand how benefits appeals work – people with representation invariably have a greater chance of success – or perhaps they just don’t care about the very poorest.
