Hampstead school history-makers
A TOP team of footballers wrote their names into the record books as they became the first side to win a major trophy for Hampstead School.
The triumphant Year 9 side from the school in Westbere Road put on a magnificent team performance as they came from a goal down to beat St Aloysius College 2-1 to lift the prestigious Louis Lewis Challenge Shield.
It was a monumental achievement for the under-14s super squad as they beat defending champions St Aloysius, who have won the coveted Camden and Islington trophy for the previous three years.
Held at Chase Lodge, a second half strike from Myles Campbell-Cameron pulled Hampstead level before their goalkeeper Corey Fender was harshly sent off for a handball outside the area.
With extra-time looming Myles grabbed his second of the game to seal a memorable 2-1 victory as Hampstead were crowned district champions.
