Is Franz Kafka working as a road planner?
• IS this a piece of brilliant, if not somewhat fiendish, Road Traffic Chaos Planning recalling the writings of Jaroslav Hasek in The Good Soldier Schweijk or Franz Kafka?
For years now traffic in West End Lane has been impeded and forced to crawl at snails’ pace down a narrow single lane. First came minor road works, then the eternal bridge improvements by the railway station, followed by a blissful break and now: work for the National Grid!
