Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 12 July 2007
United for our fountain
• WE were annoyed and dismayed to see the report in last week’s New Journal (Hostility, it seems, springs eternal…, July 5). Of course, Jeska Harrington of Save Our Green suggested that there be a small cutback in the proposed work around the fountain, which yielded some money to restore it to working order again.
Camden found the remaining finance.
South End Green Association has continued to nag to get the work completed.
Both SOG and the SEGA support the full restoration of the fountain – it has not been “hit by more controversy as rival community groups squabbled over the credit for the project”.
We have always worked together on projects in which we had shared interests and hopefully will continue to do so.
Any so-called hostility is fuelled only by misleading reporting – it does not exist. PAM GILBY
