Martin ‘Too Much’ Power, with girlfriend Karen Robertson and their baby, Martin Junior

He’s a knockout

BRITISH Bantamweight boxing champion Martin Power – who has knocked out eight of his opponents over the years – has had a little knock out of his own.
On June 24 at 6.24am, his girlfriend Karen Robertson gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 9.4 pounds. “He’s a big child for a little bantam weight,” joked Mr Power, from Castlehaven Road, Camden Town. “I think he’s going to be a heavyweight.”
He has been named Martin Junior Power, after his famous fighting father, who also holds a Commonwealth belt, and had an unbeaten five-year reign from 2001 to 2006. He added: “I used to box and make money just for me. Now I’ve got another reason to do it.”
