Gail goes walkies for dog's home
IT was time for walkies on Thursday morning when TV presenter Gail Porter joined Hampstead Hill School pupils on the Heath for Walk a Dog to School day.
Ms Porter, who brought her dog Missy and daughter Honey with her, came out to promote the cause by walking two dogs from Battersea Dogs Home.
She said: “We love dogs. Battersea Dogs’ Home takes care of so many abandoned dogs, it’s just great to be involved. We’re big animal lovers. The minute I got pregnant I got Missy.”
A spokesman for Battersea Dogs’ Home said: “Walk a Dog to School day is a fun event which encourages kids, teachers and parents across the country to get healthy and bin the bus or cut the car and walk a dog and raise money to help Battersea care for unwanted dogs and cats.”
