Done deal
• I ATTENDED the last consultation meeting, at the Camden Centre, regarding the proposed new school for Camden. The representatives of the council did not seem to want to listen to the widespread protest against what appeared to be a thinly veiled agenda in support of an academy – with a deal done behind closed doors.
If, during this
so-called consultation, there is no real consideration of what the majority of Camden parents seem to want (an open competition in which Camden enters a bid for a community school) then to paraphrase Bertolt Brecht, perhaps Camden Council should consider electing a new people! KATE M CRAGG
