Drums ’n’ dance bring carnival rhythms
to school fair
THE carnival came early to London when a primary school hosted a Caribbean-themed fête.
Steel drums, spangly-costumes and jazzy dancers provided the afternoon’s entertainment at Holy Trinity and St Silas School, in Hartland Road, Camden Town.
Actress Patricia Potter, of BBC television’s hospital drama Holby City, opened last Saturday’s fair, which raised about £2,000 to pay for school trips.
