The sun shines on hampstead athletes for a day of medals and memories

THERE were medals and memories galore for talented young athletes from Hampstead School when they enjoyed a rare chance to compete in a professional stadium.
Track and field stars from the school, based in Westbere Road, couldn’t hide their delight as they stepped out at the Willesden Green Athletics Stadium for their annual sports day.
Scores of youngsters revelled in the sun as they battled it out over a series of testing running, jumping and throwing disciplines. Among the highlights saw Hannah Rose storm to glory in the 100m hurdles, Gabriel Ankrah unleash a mammoth 40m plus throw in the discus and Jason Charles-Nelson seal a great victory in the 1500m.
