Where it’s easier to see GP
SEVERAL correspondents have written recently to say they have difficulty getting to see their doctor.
Well, thanks to a Department of Health survey published last week, you can now compare the accessibility of your local GP with that of other doctors in the neighbourhood. There is a large variation.
Interestingly, the survey suggests it is generally easier to get to see your doctor if you are registered at a smaller practice. However, these are the very surgeries that the Department of Health seeks to phase out, in favour of the large polyclinic model.
