Grant cut just a start?
CONGRATULATIONS to John Gulliver for his excellent exposure of the Lib Dem-Tory conspiracy in cutting off the £8,000 grant to the Irish Elderly Network (July 26).
We may be sure their inspiration for this outstanding piece of chicanery came from their cohorts in Islington, who, when getting control there, took no time at all in cutting the grant to the Irish community there, resulting in the closure of the Irish centre in St John’s Way N19.
If the electors of Camden did not get the message then, they surely will when the cuts and sell-offs really get underway. It will take hold, with dependence on outside influences bringing a complete disregard for the needs of the people of Camden. Andy Higgins
