Opportunity knocks in the ladies footy leagues

A NEWLY formed ladies football team are inviting players from across Camden and Islington to join them ahead of their quest for top honours in the coming season.
Hampstead Rock, which is based at Hampstead Heath, are holding a series of summer try-out sessions as they look to build a squad to help fire the club to glory.
The sessions will be held on Hampstead Heath by the athletics track near the Lido on Saturday mornings at 11.30am and Tuesday evenings at 7pm.

The Winchester Project is hosting its Winch Copa America five-a-side tournament for under-12s and under-14s on August 17 between 11am and 5pm.
Girls’ under-12s, under-14s and under-16s teams will also get the chance to win a place in the final of Fitzrovia Youth in Action’s prestigious Unity Cup.
The under-12s compete at Swiss Cottage on Tuesday between 10am and 4pm, while the under-14s and under-16s play on Thursday between 11am-2pm and 2pm-5pm respectively.
Women footballers can also join in the fun in a three-week five-a-side league, aimed at players aged 15 years and over, at Swiss Cottage Pitch on Friday 3, 10 and 17.
