Thank you from Margaret Little’s family
• I WRITE on behalf of Margaret Little’s family to thank you for the sympathetic and friendly reports of her recent sad death in your newspaper. It was wonderful to see the mayor and so many members of Camden Council at her funeral service at Hampstead Parish Church, along with Margaret’s numerous friends and colleagues from the schools and charities with which she has been involved over the years.
The church was packed; and we were so pleased to find that the service thus became a celebration of Margaret’s 60 years as Hampstead resident, and 12 as its member at Camden Council. We were delighted too that the retiring collection in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support amounted to over £1,300.
We have much appreciated the kind letters about her from fellow councillors that you have printed in your paper. For us in the family it has been heartening and uplifting to see how widely she was loved and how much she was admired across the borough.
All of us in the family would like to express our gratitude to you and the people of the borough for this support and sympathy at this difficult time. DICK EBERLIE
