Taxing bill
• HAVING moved recently from a small bedsit to a self-contained council flat (not much bigger than the bedsit), I find that I have moved up two bands of council tax from A to C,with a resulting bill that has doubled. My income hasn’t risen, but my rent has and on top of this I have to find double tax. This doesn’t seem to make any sense. Am I using more council facilities, than before? No. So how are these charges justified or fair? DEBBIE MCGEE
