Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published:16 August 2007
Film offer
•FORMER Mayor Jerry Williams has unearthed a video called The Amazing Story of Talacre. This short film shows what happened in about 1972 when a group of young people, with minimal resources, ran a summer children’s project on the site which later became Talacre Gardens.
We are trying to track down any of the young people, volunteers or children, who were in this film. Were you around Talacre in the early 1970s? Were you part of the campaign to keep the area for public use? Would you like to come along to Kentish Town Community Centre and see this film which was produced by Inter-Action?
If the answer is yes, we would like to meet you and show you this wonderful piece of history.
