Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 23 August 2007
Campaigning must go on to keep day hospital open
• WE write to you as past and present users of the Fordwych Road Day Hospital in West Hampstead.
We unanimously agree that the closure of the day hospital would be detrimental to the continuing mental health and wellbeing for all of us (Patients ‘ignored’ over mental hospitals merger).
Each individual, for as long as the day hospital has been open (17 years) has had a comprehensive treatment plan of varying lengths of time, each one unique. We have been campaigning for quite some time against the closure of the day hospital.
We do not feel that, through the consultation period, we are being listened to at all. We would very much appreciate any positive intervention that you could bring to bear on preventing the closure of the day hospital. ALAN JENSEN
(On behalf of past and present users of the day hospital)
