Hardware store will reopen with new name

THE former Cavours hardware store in Swains Lane will reopen next week.
Goodwoods, who have been negotiating with agents Humberts to reopen the shop, signed the lease on Friday.
Over the past six weeks, artists have been using the space as a gallery.
The opening of a branch of Goodwoods – a family-run business based in Junction Road, Tufnell Park – is seen as a victory for shoppers who ran a campaign to make sure the agents found a similar shop to Cavours. It closed in March after proprietors for 43 years, Geoffrey and Anne Lever, decided to retire.
