Shopkeeper assaulted
A HAMPSTEAD shopkeeper was attacked and his store robbed by three men on Saturday.
Paresh Patel, 41, owner of Hampstead Wines in South Hill Park, was assaulted after the gang came in and demanded vodka, which he refused to give them.
One robber grabbed his gold chain while another robbed the till.
Mr Patel, who has run the shop for three years, said on Monday: “This is normally a very quiet neighbourhood – I had not seen these guys before, but they attacked me for three or four minutes.” Police appealed for witnesses to call 020 7404 1212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
