Woman attacked Town Hall staff
A WOMAN with a grievance against Camden Council has been found guilty of pulling the hair of two Town Hall staff.
In two separate attacks, Deborah Vecchio, 37, asked council staff if they worked for the local authority, before pulling their hair and dragging them to the ground in April this year.
Ms Vecchio, who was spotted attacking her second victim by passing police, later told officers she could pull hair for six centimetres before it would bleed.
District Judge James Henderson issued a warrant for Ms Vecchio’s arrest after she failed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Ms Vecchio, of no fixed address, breached a restraining order banning her from contacting council staff. She is believed to have held a grudge after she was ordered by a court to allow workmen access to her former home to repair some windows.
Delivering a guilty verdict, District Judge Henderson said the two offences were so similar “it would be an affront to common sense” not to accept they had both been carried out by the same person.
