Gladiators battle with cotton buds while butterflies flutter around Rhubarb the clown
GLADIATORS and butterflies in an arena together sounds a bit of a one-sided fight, but it was all peace and harmony when the two tribes met in South Hampstead on Sunday.
Whether whacking each other with giant cotton buds or fluttering from stall to stall with painted faces, children had a ball at the Rowley Way Summer Festival.
Young and old alike were entertained by the Move-A-Side Dance Company, a
rowdy Samba troupe and drum workshop, live DJs, and the comic muggings of Rhubarb the Clown.
The event, which was organised by the ARC youth forum and community members, was the first step in a new “safe and united” vision for the estate.
