HAMPSTEAD had to settle for a point after rain washed out play. Ealing won the toss and put the visitors into bat, with Mohammed Akhtar top scorer with 65 to guide his side to 198 from 62 overs. Top of the table Ealing were coasting when rain stopped play.

South Hampstead 169 All Out
RAIN halted play to leave South with a point from this visit to bottom club Enfield. The home side won the toss and put the visitors into bat, limiting them to 169 from 46 overs.

Kenton 215-8 Dec
Highgate 208-9
HIGHGATE are just one point off top spot after battling through the rain at Kenton on Saturday. Skipper Dave Benton put in the hosts. Syed Karrar picked up an early wicket but at 75-1 from 28 overs, Highgate needed inspiration. The skipper obliged with four catches and four wickets alongside Karrar as Kenton declared on 215.
In reply, Jake Sharland and Chris Wilson put on a 50 before they were stumped. Justin Lampard went for 23 but Benton joined Ponniah Vijendran to record 73. Benton (45) and Vijendran (46), left Highgate 19 short of victory.
Joe Phelan took the visitors past the winning draw target of 201 with a smash through the covers but fell next ball. But the four points were secured as Andy Newton and Duckett saw out a finish on 208 for nine from 52 overs.

WASH slumped to their second defeat in a row on Saturday crawling to 46-4 after 25 overs, with Steve Brown making 18. Only Andy Rowlett (31) also hit double figures. Mayfield cruised it with five overs to spare. |
